I would be much more enthusiastic about K-pop spreading to America if everyone had an open mind about another country’s music. Unfortunately, they don’t. It will end up being made into this unflattering caricature, and those who already liked K-Pop will be made fun of even more. I don’t care if a surge of new people listen to it, just as long as they respect it.

new group ~

South Korea have gathered this huge and massive following over what is known as Hallyu Wave or as we international fans call it Kpop.

Old groups. Current groups and more interestingly the not yet debuted groups.

Why interestingly?

Because groups that haven’t yet debuted who haven’t shown any of their worth or talents. Yet, they still manage to have fans.

I see over facebook fanpages that I’m following asking to <like> the page of a group that haven’t debuted. Why? Why should I like. Are they amazing singers? Are they great dancers? Are they especially talented? I DON’T KNOW.

What I do know is how they look. And I won’t be giving my support to a group just for their good looks. It’s rather superficial.

I’m not saying you should hate them from the start. But they should earn your love no? Or do you give it away so easy? And you take it away just as easily?

I’ve seen a number of comments saying how they were fans of ——- but now they are fans of ——-. With such ease and lack of care, you switch. Comments confessing your love for the group and how it will be forever and always are most often lies. Just lies. Love biggest challenge is the test of time. You may feel this intense and irreplaceable love at the moment but will it last? for how long?

I was a huge hardcore kpop fan and now i calmed down. And I no longer live and breathe for it. I can now see it objectively and see all of the flaws that I ignored before. And kpop is flawed.. severely flawed but it still has it charm since I can’t seem to totally let go.

The purpose of this post: the so-called love we have for things are unbeknown to ourselves not as real as we believe it to be.

Bleh.

Sooo..

The last time I posted something was like 1-2 years ago.

I’m such a bad blogger.

I am more of a silent passerby. So the reason why I am <starting> to post.

Although I can’t guarantee I’ll do this for long…

Is…?

because there’s stuff I want to say and writing is for me the best form in which I can express myself, but then again you will witness the massacre of the english language as I am bad with grammar and whatever. I do apologize in advance.

Also, I wish to hear the OPINIONS of others, but that will come with utter nonsense only meant to hurt my feelings which by the way is a reflection of who you are and of you’re lack of empathy and intolerance of others.

What do I expect from this?

not much really.

What I will be posting is probably stuff about the Korean entertainment and other life events or whatever I’m thinking about in the moment. Nothing about my personal life as I refuse to divulge anything.

Here I go..

Netizens please be nice and try not to break me into pieces.

Oh. wait. I guess that’s too much to ask.

Reblog this and go on your page

SO..

ya see you soon =)

Back in 2008, kpop…

I miss 2008 so much..

It was the year when I got into kpop. It’s the year before all the crap happened. The year where Kpop was actually blissful and I didn’t have to cry over all the controversies.

  • Big Bang was day by day conquering the charts..
  • Nobody could avoid the allure of Wonder Girls
  • Everyone cheer U-Go-Girl with Lee Hyori
  • It was rainism everywhere with Rain
  • And no one could get out of DBSK’s mirotic charm

Great songs came out in 2008 and then 2009 came everything was going well with SNSD’s Gee, Super Junior’s Sorry Sorry, 2PM’s Again and Again. And then BAM… everything went done hill after the lawsuit from Jaechunsu, Jaebeom’s myspace controversies,etc..

I have to ask….. SERIOUSLY WHAT HAPPENED !!! What happened to my short moment of pure happiness where I didn’t need to check on the news everyday hoping nothing bad happened to my favorite groups?

I miss the days where I could just enjoy the music and didn’t have to deal with raging fanwars.. lawsuit.. suicide petition.. and the pure stupidity of people.

I want to go back to 2008 :(

I only have one wish right now. It’s that things don’t turn worse! I’m going crazy missing DBSK. I was watching their performance in what was then call MKMF from 2008. There was this comment making a remark about 2008 and I couldn’t agree more. Thus, resulting in this post.

Anywho… I’m going to go back to reminiscing over kpop in 2008.
